Swapnopuron began its journey in the year 2012 as an organisation to impart quality education in the remote areas of Sunderbans. This area did not have primary schools to provide quality education to children belonging to marginalised section. Mostly children belonging to "beedi workers" family. The organisation aspires to improve the living conditions of the deprived and disadvantaged people specially of children, women and youth by adopting strategies through community initiatives and participation and sensitization in the areas of Child education, Child protection and child rights. Community sensitization has been taken as the base for all interventions.
The organisation was created by a group of open minded , enthusiastic, dedicated professionals like educationist, social scientist, women activists.

The organisations runs the only English medium CBSE school in the islands of Sunderbans. Education bridge centers in the remote areas.Other community based programme interventions as :Sankalp" Child Parliament in the islands.
We are also working actively in distribution of ration kits since COVID . 12550 ration kits have been distributed to families and 76100 cooked meals have been served during Amphan.
